My pet theory is Naxgrel secretly did something terrible and Thrall, rather than publicly banish or execute him, exiled him to Hellfire Peninsula for the rest of his life. Like the rumors that Jordan's year of baseball was a secret suspension for gambling.
My Opinion: Nazgrel should've been the orc Commander in the Arathi Horde base and not Eitrigg. Still can have Eitrigg be the one to recruit the Mag'har and leader of the Orcs in Varok's absence though.
