Every now and again I start trying to care about the Warcraft story once more and I just can't do it when stuff like this is happening. Especially as I play a MMORPG with a good story concurrently, as I am with FF14. Which is just so superior in every narrative way.

I wasn't referring to you with that. I was referring to very large youtubers and streamers who frequently insist that most (or all) criticism isn't deserved and that nothing is wrong and that everybody who is upset are just fanboys or butthurt children or something else.
Criticism is important because it can help improve someone or something. My main take away though is the people who just spam, "This game is bad" without an explanation is not really criticism. But for example a point about Sylvanas' story feeling slow is a good criticism.

I also disagree with the notion that we should dismiss someone saying "this is bad" in every situation. I've worked in places where feedback from the public was necessary for the job and getting back a ton of, "this is bad" is a pretty good indication that SOMETHING is wrong.

There are situations where that should be ignored, sure, but to just handwave all of it away because somebody doesn't write a dissertation about every single specific topic is kind of disingenuous to me.

Its kind of hard to see through the piles of it through the years. I've seen countless people spamming in WoW's Videos & Forums, "This game is bad" or "This game is dead". The only ones I usually see with concern are the people who actively have played the game and praised it.
