I would still include the Light and Void as important threats but span it over several other threats too. Do something with the "Botani" that we saw on Draenor but without the Breakers to deal with them. They were like a Hive Mind Scourge and were extremely underrated in WoD.
One thing I would adore seeing in WoW is us traveling through the Twisting Nether, visiting new planets as our continents and finding a threat similar to the Flood from Halo or something. That'd be wickedly scary and awesome.
