(SPOILERS!) Well I was right on the money of it being Rexxar or Baine. I'm not really worried about Baine being in prison right now he just got a new model and is the only Tauren Leader right now. If anything though I think this is Blizzard's way of saying he wont be Warchief.

Looking at the broadcast text it says that’s it’s Zelling who lets Derek go free. Where does Baine figure into this?

Baine is the one to deliver Derek to Jaina in Theramore.

Baine is respected within the Horde and Alliance. Sylvanas knows by killing Baine she'll implore the Horde's hatred directed at her, his arrest will warrant less hatred and also make them realize what fate lies before them if they betray her. Which of course they will.

There is no realistic reason why the Horde SHOULD respect him after the multiple times he has betrayed them and his own people - the only reason nothing has been said against him is because the plot says so, nothing else. Inadvertently, it just shows what a GREAT leader...(1/2)

What "betrayals" are you referring to? He's opposing Sylvanas because it goes against his believes and commitments. It goes against the Horde's values entirely! People confuse "betraying the Horde" with "betraying Sylvanas" Baine is not betraying the Horde but Sylvanas here.

Just like Saurfang he’s an out and out hypocrite who cares more the enemy’s welfare than the faction he supposedly loves and belongs to. And no, betraying the Warcheif and the Horde are one and the same, they are inseparable - the Blood Oath defines this as such (3/3)
