I personally like both characters but if you were to choose between who to have as your Warchief would you have Baine or Thrall? I say Thrall only because we need stability and peace and somebody to ready Baine for the job someday as I think Baine just isn't ready yet.

These challenges he faced also proved his cool headed, sensible and rational decision making skills. I guess the main negative is that Blizz has switched Warchiefs too often already, and having another new one in less then 2 expansions would be just tiring.
Sylvanas isn't long for Warchief and after her it has to be somebody who can hold that position for a long time. I'm sure that Blizzard themselves acknowledge that the Warchief has passed on way too much.

Yeah what I tried to say with this is this could be a counterargument for Baine as WC. Thrall would be a switch without pulling another character into this role.

I just don't think Baine is quite ready for the role personally. Plus I wouldn't mind a "Garrosh Arc" done right with Thrall and Baine with Thrall prepping him for the Title someday.
