I donno how a "lack of connection" (Not sure what that is) means he's resentful of Sylvanas. He's part of the Horde that just literally slaughtered thousands of innocent civilians and destroyed a World Tree then is in Kul Tiras saying Jaina's gone too far.
I think it really is poor timing. For years people wanted Rexxar to do something in the story and they finally did it. Unfortunately they're going about it the wrong way. All of the Horde just seem to be painted as followers of Sylvanas say for except a few.
Its probably because the only ones who actively express their distaste are Saurfang, Baine, Valtrois, and now Zelling and Captain Stone. The rest just do whatever she says and then MAYBE grumble about rather innocuous things compared to what they've just done on her behalf.
I do think Rexxar will be apart of this team someday. I am happy that Rexxar is back and while I am unhappy he's taking longer than others to realize Sylvanas' Horde is flawed I do think there's a chance for redemption and saving. Just so long as he isn't Nazgrimmed.
