After double checking but in the Dark Iron recruitment Scenario, High Justice Grimstone aims to revive Ragnaros & the current Fire Lord Smolderon is MIA. My guess is with Grimstone still alive he revives Rag VIA Smolderon and then has him work for the newly reborn Black Empire.

That could be cool, but it also feels cheap to resurrect that character after he's been in two raids already and they made a point of replacing him.
Yeah but its a plot point they have already taken Smolderon and they have a clear plan of resurrecting him. Seems like this is the route they're at least trying at.
