The idea that killing off Sylvanas' Val'kyr is some big accomplishment always makes me laugh. Okay so imagine when we eventually kill the last 3 off. Congrats she's now on the level playing field as literally every other character in the story. Damn what an accomplishment.
I mean no more val'kyr basically means no more Forsaken. But yeah I also get what you're saying when its just Sylvanas and her extra lives.

The entirely idea that her race is dying out would hold a lot more weight, or any weight at all, if they really demonstrated this in the game or in the story at any point whatsoever. But they don't, and the Forsaken are never, ever shown to be less populous in the story

I feel like it was more relevant after Wrath of the Lich King now a days they seem pretty populated. As Arthas said in Legion; "The dead will always outnumber the living."
