The final nail in the coffin of Sylvanas/Forsaken fanboys' claims that the Forsaken have free will is if Delaryn is actually resurrected as a Forsaken Elf and is loyal to Sylvanas. She died philosophically spitting in Sylvanas' face. She wouldn't suddenly join them.

This clashes with everything that the Forsaken claim to stand for. You're a mindless slave until you decide to "prove yourself" to a character who ruthlessly murders her own people even when they aren't defecting?
I'm just going with what they say in traveler. Considering what happened with Godfry can we blame Sylvanas? She also gave free will to the Desolate Council so I assume they were raised before val'kyr or earned their free will.

The problem is with the way the narrative is presented. We keep getting told Forsaken have free will yet there are an increasing amount of cases now where people who are resurrected wouldn't suddenly become loyal to the very faction that JUST IMMEDIATELY killed them.

Cataclysm had it well. Godfrey had free will and betrayed her, Marcus Redpath had free will and was trying to raise an army of detractors. But now we have people marching in lockstep with Sylvanas after resurrection who most certainly wouldn't while they still claim free will.
