Would he have been able to? His soul was absorbed by Zul and used for some bad voodoo, he didn't just die normally. Using the same rituals as the Drakkari, his spirit might just be gone forever like Shadra now.
I mostly meant that he saved Vol'jin from Bwonsamdi's grip prior to his death.

The way the dialogue sounds though is that Vol'jin wasn't stuck here, he actually passed over to the other side (Bwonsamdi is just the gatekeeper, and can call them back if he wanted) and something ELSE pulled him back over to ours. Not sure if Rezan can do that.

The Lich King and Eyir talk about how the force that brought him back fundamentally changed him. They're completely stumped at who or what or why did it. Wouldn't Bwonsamdi be able to tell if Rezan did that? Unless he's lying, he is also completely baffled.
