No doubt that Malfurion is a scary tree hugging Druid and the fact Sylvanas survived is interesting of itself. The only one who could've matched Malfurion was Shaman Thrall from Cata.

Sylvanas has the plottiest plot armor of every character in the franchise so Im not surprised whatsoever. He carved through Horde soldiers like a cake and had her trapped with entangling roots but somehow she survived? He blocked her dark arrow in his face and had no consequence

I think had Saurfang not interrupted their fight it was clear he was going to defeat her but it was thanks to Saurfang Malfurion and Sylvanas both survived, well that and apparently Elune's intervention but still.

I'm really just over the shonen anime fights where its always, "OH ITS SO CLOSE WHO WILL DIE THIS TIME!?" and then nobody does and everybody gets away to fight another day.

I mean, if Sylvanas died right there and then we wouldn't have a whole Expansion. At least they provided a reason why Malfurion wasn't able to kill her VIA Saurfang.

I'm a bit more biased to seeing characters previously established and done nothing with until now: (examples being Rexxar, Akama, Turalyon, Alleria, etc.) newer characters can be great but need time to develop too with older characters there's less of a need for development.
