I'm pretty sure that Zappy Boi (Zekhan)'s father didn't die in the Third War but rather died either in the Darkspear Rebellion or on the Broken Shore.

What makes you think that?
Well we know Zekhan is very new to battle but was told stories of Saurfang rather positively & during the Third War. So I feel like it had to have been recent. And the largest amount of deaths for Darkspears came from the Rebellion and the Broken Shore. But that's just my guess.
