The Horde use Azerite in their weaponry against the Night Elves for nearly the entire war effort, and we find out from Delaryn that the Night Elves start collecting it after seeing what Sylvanas is doing with it.
I can see most of that happening but then why the Azerite Bombs? Also I love character development so yes please.No I understand the use of the Azerite but why would she suddenly use them on the tree? The goal was to take the tree not blow it up.

Because when characters have their BSOD moment, they often make decisions that are rash or out of shock or unlike what they originally wanted. Not sure what could be worse for Sylvanas than believing she's become Arthas attacking Silvermoon. And has Azerite at her fingertips
