It's true that Admiral Proudmoore was a racist douche who wanted to kill all the Orcs and his death was warranted to save THRALL'S Horde... ...but let's not ignore history about him either. He did originally sail to find Jaina and keep her safe after he learned of the Scourge.
Lots of characters in World of Warcraft have some true grey to them. Sometimes their intentions can be the best but then turn out to be the worse. Good examples are Daelin, Arthas and even Thrall with Garrosh.
