I'm okay with it because they make everybody hostile to her. I feel the way you do about Kanrethad and the Warlocks. He makes no sense at all and they ignore all of his role in the green fire chain.
The thing about Kanrethad, what exactly did he do to the world or other characters? In comparison I saw his role as rather minor when compared to Magatha who not only used Garrosh to kill Cairne but also killed several Tauren Villages in the process.

I don't think that matters as much since, again, she's despised by everybody and is only there because otherwise she'd out being evil on her own. Kanrethad literally tried to kill the Warlock player personally and was another Gul'dan in the making power wise.

Its not what the character did, its how they explain their return. Kanrethad's entire evil moment in 5.2 was just ignored and Magatha, meanwhile, is rightfully hated.
