I'm still completely in the excited-newbie honeymoon phase, but writing Rust code feels very wholesome.

I haven’t written anything in it, but I like all the ideas behind it. Slightly different target than Rust with garbage collection.

Golang is fantastic for complex systems and web services where having a garbage collector is OK. Rust is great for embedded systems and things like game engines.

Rule of thumb: Go is useful where things like Java and C# would be useful. Rust is useful where C++ would be useful (this is very over simplified but you get the point.)

Honestly, it's trapped in the 1960's in language design, with some of the most bizarre choices. Paired-value returns instead of a ADTs for error handling, and doesn't support tuples, generics, or functional programming. Very boilerplate-y.
