Assuming other civilizations do exist out there, because I could argue that a billion years old malicious civilization would try to wipe out any potential threat at its infancy without leaving traces of their involvement. Ideally would look like self-destruction/ natural disaster
if a threatening hyper-advanced territorial civilivation does exist based on that logic we as a threat would be erradicated, therefore aliens do not exist? Or is your position that "aliens" are only 50 years more advanced than humans?

We would be erradicated of course but not before harvested in the most efficient way. Given the exponential growth of our knowledge, we might be 50 years away before changing from a highly prized asset to liability. Even them have their own limitations and constraints.
