Looks like you changed your channel name but not the custom URL. You'll need to remove the custom URL and to then claim a new one: https://goo.gl/NTkVaQ . Hope this helps.

That's the issue, I never claimed the 1st 1 to begin with, it was given inherently when I made the channel many years ago. I was under the impression it was automatic which is why I changed my name. I currently dont meet the requirements to request a custom URL. Can I request...

Hmm, looks like you're referring to an username URL and not a custom URL. Here's more info that may help: https://goo.gl/YsJp4w . Also, here's the our Help Center resource on general eligibility requirements for Custom URL: https://goo.gl/FG1yEX . Hope this helps clarify.

So since my channel has a "legacy username" that's what redirects people when that URL is used. But theres no way to update/change that legacy username? So my channel can ways be found by the "legacy username"?

While you can't change a username URL, you can still have a custom URL once you've met the aforementioned requirements. The custom URL will work in addition to the username URL, meaning both the URLs will redirect to your channel. Hope this clarifies.

Okay so I am stuck with the old username URL. Thanks. Since the channel is old enough to have the legacy username, any chance I'll qualify for the custom URL? :) Thanks for all your help btw
