Sr., with all due respect, these are the people I’ve “worshiped” with all my life. The lip-service by which they pay the sacraments belies the callous nature in which they view people like my family and me. Worse, there are clergy who promote this view as well. I weep for mine.
Racism and intolerance in all forms go directly against Catholic social teaching. How about the Administration stepping in and modeling respectful behavior for all Native Americans? Mocking this Vet and ridiculing him is not acceptable. Restorative discipline is necessary. Since when are Catholic high school students given permission to wear MAGA hats?
