If you ever wondered what the inspiration was for Bill Brandt’s very strange nudes look no further than Edward Weston who Brandt described as being from the ‘poetic’ school of photography. Here is one of Weston’s nudes from 1936.

I don’t normally do group photos of protests but there is something about the quality of this one that I really like. Taken on Waterloo Bridge last year with the vintage Leica and Ilford FP4 film.

When photographing the people on either side of the Brexit debate I was always struck by how different they were in mindset and in character. Brexit is not just about the EU it is deeper than that and speaks to our personal values and how we view the world.

This is one of McCullin’s most famous photos, centre stage at Tate, lauded for its impact and power yet nobody knows who this man was and his story remains untold. This photo was the inspiration for my photo of Steve in Soho in 2016 which kickstarted the Outsiders project.

Homeless Man, Spitalfields, 1969 by Don McCullin. “I held his gaze and looked into the bluest eyes I had ever seen then brought my Nikon up to my eye and took the photo. He looked like one of those Neptune figures”. McCullin thought this was the best portrait he had ever taken.

As is trending here is a reminder of what Leave voters wanted to get out of Brexit. Read it and weep.
