I think the latest @TeamYouTube policy is a good call even though I don't qualify for monetization anymore. Let's stop hating on YouTube for every step they take, it is becoming a meaningless trend. I fully support this decision.
Many people are either stealing content, creating clickbait videos or uploading inappropriate content just to get views and therefore money. The new policy prevents this from happening, in the end it makes the platform a safer and cleaner place.

I agree that the numbers might be a little small but overall it is a good step in the right direction. I am sure this is a just a test phase for the new policy and the details are subject to change.
