Can’t shake the feeling we all are being subjected to *totally* different Terms of Service.

Please stop saying "You can't joke about anything anymore". You can. You can joke about whatever the fuck you like. And some people won't like it and they will tell you they don't like it. And then it's up to you whether you give a fuck or not. And so on. It's a good system.

One day Youtube randomly suggested these "vanlife" videos to me. I had never cared for or watched anything remotely close to this kind of content. I mostly watch anime and skate videos. Now i watch these van videos non stop and they are awesome

Keeping in mind I am Chinese national so not a free speech advocate- just that if you want to move towards a moderated system like ours, it does not matter much if it's done by billionaires or civil servants, and you should be clear on what you are getting and at what cost.

Welfare is a huge incentive to cross the border into either the US or Canada. But so are a higher standard of living, more jobs, more political stability, and a lower crime rate. Are we supposed to take those away too in order to stop illegal immigration? 🤔

From a YouTube viewer: imagine if banks started canceling the accounts of people who have committed no offense but did not abide by their corporate mission statement? We'd have political banks.

I get that many of you grew up on stories of the Nazis, but I grew up with stories of the Red Guards- I had elderly tutors who still kept their English books hidden, just in case. If you are going to learn from history- make sure you learn from all of it.

2016: Big Social is censoring, I’ll start my own social network. 2017: App Store duopoly is abusing market power to stifle competition, I’ll just build on the mobile web. 2018: wow hosting providers and payment processors are blacklisting alt tech. Guess I’ll start a bank.

Did conservatives have to fight 4 the right to marry? Have children? Do they get beaten up & murdered 4 their identity? Does the VP want them to pray the conservatism away? Do conservative children kill themselves at an alarming rate bc of how they’re treated at school & home?

If you would have told me 10 years ago that the internet would fall to religious puritanism from the left I would have laughed But yea, dogmatic ideology rules social media, adult content is banned, saying a bad word one time can get your income slashed. The Dystopia is here

Your ‘Terms of Service’ mean nothing to me if you reserve the right to apply them asymmetrically for nakedly political ends. I’d prefer you just wrote: “We reserve the right to silence, harass & gaslight users on our platform at our sole discretion over political disagreements.”

Does Shakespeare violate your Terms of Service? Does Mark Twain violate your Terms of Service? Does the Constitution violate your Terms of Service? Does Biology violate your Terms of Service? Then take a deep breath. Let me break it to you gently: The problem isn't Shakespeare.

The solution is not more Macron or more Salvini, the actually need each other and reinforce each other, the solution can only be a Pan-European awakening across borders and nationalities, which would be able to tackle the deep economic, social and ecological crisis of Europe today
