I was theorizing what Valve could maybe do to help combat hackers and an idea I came up with is: players who refuse to kick their hacking teammates should be given the same punishment as the person who's cheating. Thoughts?

Wouldnt that be unfair for the team with the hacker they'd be a player down and the kick could happen really early on in the game

If they play with a hacker and the case gets overwatch'd, the match doesn't count on anyone's record anyway. So yeah it is a bit unfair but it's also moot.

If you just happen to queue into the cheater without queueing with the cheater the win will still count for you. Also you can get a temporary ban for kicking too many players across too many games, so there is no good reason to kick a cheater from your team

They could definitely re-work current systems to accommodate for new ones should they ever choose to implement anything.
