Cheaters are likely not a big deal to seasoned players but the experience of a new player is just terrible. Every game mode at entry level is just filled with blatant hackers. Gives tons of new players incentive to cheat or to never play again

Forgot to mention I was specifically referring to csgo since their bans are issued on a case by case basis and the voting system makes sense for this idea. Not all of Valve/Steam

you'd have to gauge why they're refusing to kick which really is a lot more work than on paper
-
There's a handful of common reasons. They don't want to kick their friend. They care more about winning than a fair game. They don't believe their teammate is cheating (but no one calls a vote kick unless it's really obvious usually)

I think if it's not obvious, they won't call a vote kick to begin with

Wouldnt that be unfair for the team with the hacker they'd be a player down and the kick could happen really early on in the game
-
If they play with a hacker and the case gets overwatch'd, the match doesn't count on anyone's record anyway. So yeah it is a bit unfair but it's also moot.

The issue with that is that sometimes it could just be a few people who are queuing with the hacker knowingly, and if the few people who don't know that said person is hacking can't get the person kicked, then they would get a punishment for trying to get the hacker kicked...
-
So I think the best bet is if the person on the hacker's team thinks a person is hacking, and doesn't want them to hack/kick them out of the game, but can't get them out, then the only solution is for the person to report them and let Overwatch take over.
