I thought the ban was from me asking weather we could joke about rape jokes. It does actually make more sense now that I see this. I still think there’s nuance, however I do agree that jokes mocking victims of making light of the topic are awful. I never got to explain that.
The rules clearly say it's not a topic you can joke about. It's quite obvious that you saw that and felt you needed to defend your right to make certain jokes but I aim to have a clean chat environment that doesn't make people uncomfortable or worse, remind them of something.

I understand how you got that impression but it’s not what I was going for. I was simply sharing my views at the time, albeit in a poorly phrased manner that didn’t get the across properly. My views have changed since then.

If you want to leave me banned, that’s totally fair and I completely understand and respect that decision. However, I would like to ask for you to consider an appeal, as I believe I’ve matured since then.
