Me and DPad are just plugging it into a CamLink 4K, then plugging that into a 3.0 USB that isn't attached to an extender. I also have 3 soft white lights on; graininess is almost always caused by dim lighting

Get some more light on your face, set ISO (biggest factor for grain) to as low as you reasonably can, and open up aperture (F-stop) to compensate.
