So as someone who enjoys watching Competitive Melee but never paid super close attention to all the tournaments, how bad is it ACTUALLY that it’s not in Evo this year? I know Evo is huge, but are there other equal sized tournies it’ll still be in?
As someone who's bummed, it's not a big deal. Evo is a representation of the entire fighting game community as much as it is a tournament. It's probably for the best this way and at worst, competitive Melee will lose out on some new fans and players this year as a result.
