There was a good amount of people just giving around business cards at Twitchcon without trying to build any connection. When people follow streams they usually do it for streamers they feel they might like. Give someone a reason to like you first.
I had a few affiliates hand me business cards without even talking to me. Was super bizarre because I've only ever printed business cards to give to a companies marketing rep after speaking to them lol.
That seems to be the shared experience. I had a few as well, and only one partner business card (which was from someone I was already friends with). Mind you Im just an affiliate myself so I imagine it was even more prominent for other partners.
There were definitely people that just handed them to everyone. Me and my gf got a couple from someone who said literally no words to us lol
