      Everyone in this comments section needs to calm down. In short, this is not possible within the actual Super Mario 64 rom. This is not a rom hack (at least not the lighting and textures and whatnot) and cannot be played with a normal video plugin. Yes, he said rom hack. (1/2)

      but, it was probably an honest mistake. Yes, calling it "one of the most beautiful rom hacks ever" is kind of misleading and wrong, you don't have to get all pissy about it. It still looks nice even though it's not an actual rom hack, but hasn't been done in the past, so (2/2)

      He modeled the castle grounds, it's a Rom Hack. The fact that he's using a video plugin for textures doesn't change that it's a Rom Hack, so stop being aids.

          Gonna quickly step in and then out, but most new ROM hacks (and even some older ones with a bit of fixing up) can run on console now-a-days. Whether or not it'll lag or not is a different story but they will work pretty much.

          OK, but I'm not a general Rom hacker and my aim was to make SM64 look as good as I possibly could (as a Graphics designer for a very very long time) Unfortunately this is one of those few that will not run on an N64. Also, why would you guys risk your N64 for a Rom hack!

          Most of them are easily fixable though. Just not of all of them have been fixed. Besides, it's super simple to make compatible hacks with Pilzinzels's new tool.
