Just tuned in to for the latest shouting match. Incredible. Bronwyn Bishop is arguing that Libs should try to steal elections in the future by changing the system and throwing out preferential voting. It’s like the US republicans - if we can’t win, rig the rules.

Thank goodness for some sense from tv tonight. Finally saying what was obvious last night. @pocockdavid can’t lose from here. Far too many progressive preference flows. The Canberra Liberals have to return back to a more progressive future as they rebuild.

It’s not getting much coverage but we’ve got a huge right wing vote in the northern rivers that could mean prefs flow to the discredited local Nats candidate pushing them above the ALP, leading to Labor preferences electing and giving the Greens another seat.

This would have been the perfect moment for if she was in the Parliament. She would have been the perfect leader to rebuild the modern Liberal party. Perhaps they need to draft her back!

Senator Pocock will be making the trip to Capital Hill when the parliament next sits. Congratulations @pocockdavid - I’ll call it first!

The atmosphere in Richmond all week has been getting increasingly desperate amongst the ALP team. Story went untold in the media. I expect Justine will get strong preference flows from the Nats but the Greens will win this seat - just a question on whether it’s now or in future

The next leader of the Liberal party (which won’t be Scott Morrison) will have to back bold and decisive action on climate change. In the wash it will be clear that gone is the period in Aus history where a path to gov can be found without backing climate action.

One thing to remember about this election is that we’ve never seen a greater percentage of the population enrolled to vote. Young people in particular got involved in record numbers. #AusPol2022

This is what happens when the public wake up to the climate crisis. The only clear takeaway so far tonight is the public want climate action and they’ll look across the ballot papers to find it. #AusPol2022

If merit based selection has failed to allow people of merit to cut through the biased and corrupt system, then surely there’s merit in trying something different like quotas in conservative political parties. #nationalpressclub

6am in parts of the US and given the strong postal/early voting for Biden, he should win from here. Fingers crossed it all falls into place quickly from here.

Wow, the top 3 super funds in August were all ethically screened funds! Cruelty Free Super, Future Super Balanced Impact and Future Super Balanced Index came in at 1, 2 and 3. So much for the idea that ethical investment comes at big cost in terms of returns #auspol
