      Sarah Mei Retweeted Bloomberg Brexit

Britain has succeeded in its primary goal of reducing immigration with the Brexit vote - by about 63,000 people. They also succeeded in losing 40 billion pounds of GDP with the vote, which means they’ve paid....635,000 pounds to keep EACH immigrant out. Xenophobes are stupid.https://twitter.com/Brexit/status/1077567650107179008 …

Brits are increasingly dubious about whether ending freedom of movement is worth the overall cost of Brexit to the nation's economy (via @bopinion) https://bloom.bg/2EKoDN8

I mean, it’s their money. So if that’s how they want to spend it...at least it’s not on war machines, I guess?

Maybe they’re counting on amortization over time. If immigration falls to zero, assuming they lose no further GDP, they’ll only have paid 120,000 pounds (about $150,000 right now) for EACH person they kept out. What a bargain! Good job brexiteers!

What a ridiculous clusterfuck that whole thing is. It’s so bad I can almost forget, for a few minutes, about the insecure, stupid, violent person we have running this country.

If he succeeds in building the wall, I look forward to similar stories on how we paid like $7,000,000 for each Mexican refugee we kept out 🙄

      Replying to @sarahmei

Ah but the wall will selectively keep out the Mexicans too stupid to use a ladder, where as Brexit is chasing away skilled migrants such as doctors & nurses...
