That’s a great article - I’d heard about the first attempt, but I didn’t know it ended like this! It’s a bit… odd, though, to think that a main criticism was “it wasn’t for charity”.

I want to think it’s because GDQ and LRR are just great inspirations… but I still detect a remnant of that eternal need to justify the hobby, and to attack people who make gamers “look bad”.
