Simon Ostrovsky’s Tweets

youtu.be/lw1fN3y3BZE here’s the story. It was kind of a wrap for four breaking news pieces we produced out of Bucha and the Kyiv environs. Attending the funerals was the most difficult thing for me. They went so quickly because there weren’t enough priest to go around.

Global Accusations of Genocide Rage As Bloody Scenes Rise in Ukraine

“We hear words: civilian deaths, grim accountings, war crimes. The faces of survivors and of those investigating these atrocities tell us so much more. This story by Simon Ostrovsky is only one from Russia’s war against Ukraine. It reminds me of why journalists need to be present to document and inform.”

Not gonna lie, feels good to see the guy behind my kidnapping finally found guilty after all these years. My heart goes out to the families of all the innocent people who died onboard #MH17. May he and the rest be swiftly brought to justice.

A radio station in Poland is reporting that two Russian stray rockets landed on the Polish side of the border killing two people. If confirmed it represents the first strike against NATO territory in Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Um, so what was the 2020 war between Azerbaijan and Armenia? What about Syria? What do you think that buzzing sound over Gaza has been all these years? Hell, America’s been using drones since before the Obama administration.

Looks like they’re having a normal one in Moscow: “call it holy war… Old world, be afraid! Robbed of its true beauty, true faith, true wisdom, it’s controlled by madmen, perverts, satanists. Be afraid! We are coming!”

Reuters deleted this tweet & apparently the story that cited results from polling station set up in Russia. Good. But standard practice is to issue a correction when a story doesn’t meet editorial standards. Sadly I don’t see that. The update is better tho

I went to a Russian border city, where I spoke with soldiers who retreated from Ukraine and pro-Kremlin Ukrainians who fled. “It can’t be in vain that so many of our guys have died. It just can’t be that all of this was in vain.”

“Putin’s Chef” Prigozhin recruiting mercenaries for the war in Ukraine in a prison. “In 1/2 a year you go home with a pardon… there’s no way you end up back in prison. Those who arrive on the first day and don’t like where they’ve ended up are considered deserters and get shot.”
