also! to me youtube videos come off as less genuine the more polished they are, if everything in your video is perfect with no mistakes and you’re filming on a set in 4K i’m not gonna feel the same connection with u as i would with someone like readytoglare or atozy

you should say that to artists too :3 because most artists are picky and want it perfect. It's hard for young artists to accept mistakes (which we all should learn) to become better.

i'm the same way with books. i write tons of books and i put them out into the world. of course i revise and edit them, but i'm never going to let a novel sit in a drawer for 10 years i've put out 6 books since 2016, i'm publishing 4 books in 2020, and no one can stop me

100% agree with this, but also I get mad when I see something in my video that I could have done better, and watching my older videos even just from earlier this year is a form of torture.
