Pam Dawber was hired before Robin Williams. He was not the first choice to play Mork and was actually brought in as a replacement.

How do you figure that when Mork was introduced on Happy Days? I would assume that they weren't planning on spinning the character off originally given the fact that they added on a scene at the end of the Happy Days episode to set up the premise of M&M.
