The gray box around the creators name will still appear so it will be easy to tell if its still the creator just less so without the verified mark. The problem you mentioned was also not seen in non verified users before this change too so it cannot be a problem for you.

Still it would be nice if it was just a sub limit for verification so that people who have a very high amount of subs have something to show for it
