    I didn't tell you that because I knew you were speaking, but honestly paying for travel + hotel for speakers is pretty standard practice for non-security conferences and I don't know why security people continually put up with it

    If anyone has done Cybersecurity work with state and local Gov’t know they have all the security problems of a nation and about $1.50 to fix it. The specter of attacks against vote reporting systems in November is terrifying given the lack of resources to secure those systems.

    has anyone seen the newest HTML redirect phishing attacks in practice?

    The new campaign uses HTML redirectors attached to emails. When opened, the HTML leads to the download Dudear, a malicious macro-laden Excel file that drops the payload. In contrast, past Dudear email campaigns carried the malware as attachment or used malicious URLs.
