  6. Smith v Allwright was the beginning of the end of the all-white primary in Tx. The New York Times ran the story on the front page & called the SCOTUS decision one of “far-reaching significance.”

  7. Today is the 150th anniversary of the ratification of the 15th Amendment to the Constitution. Since our founding in 1940 a core focus of ⁦⁩’s work has been devoted to challenging voter suppression schemes created to limit or deny the African American vote.

  13. Gwen’s ⁦⁩ partner ⁦⁩ spoke beautifully about the bond she & Gwen developed as the first all-female anchor team of a nightly news program. And they made sure they never wore the same color jacket. Today Judy made an exception.

  14. It meant so much to us to have ⁦⁩, the 82nd Attorney General of the United States at today’s celebration to speak eloquently about and to deliver beautiful words of support from President ⁦⁩.

  15. So thankful to the ⁦⁩ for issuing the stamp. My new friend, Deputy Postmaster General Ronald Stroman, so wonderfully led this effort.
