Thorin hits so much of what's been missing in the community since the "first wave" of content creators moved upwards. I want to see more investigative journalists & content creators in the scene. Grind, dig, give opinions, work on marketing yourself!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy_tEhiqmqA …
The scene is still incredibly fresh and new. We're less than one year into OWL-level professionalism, it'll only get more closed off from here. Players stream often, interact w/ fans, talk in main Discords, interact in interviews with journalists etc. No time like the present.

Then maybe I am going about it the wrong way b/c every time I reach out to a pro via discord I don't hear back or the org doesn't get back to me. -Shrug-

Agree, orgs are terrible for that. Official avenues often are dead ends. Think I only got something reasonable once from talking to an org or PR person. Player stuff is always going to be better if you approach with simple questions or interview stuff before deep inquiries.

I had no idea who most of the pros were (and it was mutual) when I messaged them on Discord or I wandered up to them at events. I'm just not sure people are even beginning to build those relationships. Not pointing at you, just getting thoughts out ofc.

Obviously. I think one of the larger issues is transitioning from fan mindset to content creator/journalist. While I do agree the best advice starts with "just do it" something more nuanced from someone in your position would go very far, trust me.
