Houston have a free win any time Junkertown is in the pool, likewise with Boston on Anubis/Volskaya. NYXL are unbeaten on King's Row and Hanamura. London are incredible at Numbani and Gibraltar. It's time to start thinking about Overwatch more in terms of maps, à la CS.

I've been waiting for this for a while, it's taken a long time and a lot of sustained matches for teams to figure out styles and map-specific strengths, but I think we're there to start talking about "X is the 2nd best team in the world on X map".

It also means that we NEED to have a discussion in the future about how the map pool is implemented. No secret that OWL S1 has a format that does not work well with this.

Replying to @SideshowGaming
I disagree with your conclusion. It's on teams to get better on maps. I would bet anything that teams aren't yet putting in extra time on their bad maps. They need to, but they are reluctant to mess with their scrim schedules.

Each team has a set amount of time. Say you're 20% against Boston on Assault but 50% on the rest. No team will prioritise beating Boston on Volskaya and get an extra 10% rather than put that time into another map.
