Combination of 240chars and oversight I suppose, for me it was less of a conscious effort in that regard, but more kinda striving for excellence whilst not being a dick to people. I kinda just forged mutuality respectful relationships with superiors and peers, suppose that's it
Yeah I've always been pretty terrible at networking. I didn't become friends or really get in touch with people before I worked with them. Always worked under the assumption (perhaps faulty) that if you do a damn good job they'll have heard/be told of you.
