if blizzard is seriously gonna sell the liquid contenders spot instead of giving it to us or LGE. ive lost all faith in blizzard

It would not be Blizzard selling the slot, it would be Liquid. The org owns the slot. If the org doesn't want it, it goes to the captain.
Somewhat beside the point since Blizzard sets the rules. McGravy worded it poorly but his issue is surely with the handover not who profits.

I believe Blizz at least can veto how the slot is passed on but it is ultimately up to teams/orgs to work with Liquid to get it.

why would they veto it anyway? it's liquid's spot, they earned it by putting money in the right players, and are free to do as they like
