Bad timing but unavoidable unless pre-planned. This was clearly avoidable tho. Most of the time $100k cups are not simultaneous.

clearly avoidable? you're actually arguing blizzard should delay their patches so teams can have an easier time at LAN?

oh no we cant nano the reaper anymore, if only this patch we knew about for weeks and were given warning of werent here

That makes no sense, they actually said that one shouldn't expect the patch in its entirety to go live this time.

also competitive integrity is a strong term to throw around a meta reliant on nanoing a spinning a reaper for a teamwipe

Why are you so fixated on nano-reaper in this - far more widely applicable. Could just as easily happen with a patch the pros like.

ya of course, but I'm 100% against timing patches based on some arbitrary international event schedule.

It's not arbitrary, it would be around Blizz-sanctioned events or the OWL. Valve don't patch during TI, or Riot during Worlds

if you're comparing some random KR 100k tournament to worlds or TI you're crazy. They patch dota regularly during events

This is the big global tournament so far in OW and was $178k, if they don't do it for APEX then why would they do it for others?
