It's not arbitrary, it would be around Blizz-sanctioned events or the OWL. Valve don't patch during TI, or Riot during Worlds

if you're comparing some random KR 100k tournament to worlds or TI you're crazy. They patch dota regularly during events

This is the big global tournament so far in OW and was $178k, if they don't do it for APEX then why would they do it for others?
