@SideshowGaming let's just have ties with each team getting a point. Winner in overtime (for playoffs) still receives full points. Simple.
Imo the best system would be to award the full win to the golden cap victor. It would apply in a tournament setting.

Draws get messy and penalise close teams even if the game is fast paced. Means you never practise GCs except in playoffs too
