If I'm a player, I definitely still want that $4,000 minimum contract buyout. Guessing all of their players would have renegotiated new contracts this year (I think this was the general rule across most teams due to the orgs getting more flexibility in new contracts)
Plus, presumably they need to stay as contracted players until new Chinese players are ready to sign? So much complexity here that I doubt we'll ever get unless the players want to leak it out into the world.
OWL players don't leak infos...ever.
Unless they know they can’t find a team and will subsequently be retiring ( fissure for example) which sadly may happen to some of these players.
