Official party line for Valiant is that "visa issues" caused the dropping of their roster, despite the org's timing being the cause. Presumably this is how they can get around league mandates to have 7 minimum players after January 4th, as part of emergency rules added in 2020.
I sincerely hope that this (in my personal opinion) abuse of the emergency measures afforded by OWL does not allow them to further dodge financial responsibilities to the outgoing players.

Considering the new rules state that its only 30 day salary for a contract buyout unless you were under a old contract or negotiated a better deal they wouldn't even need to dodge rules at all. It costs them like $100 to release the whole roster under the agreed upon rules.
If I'm a player, I definitely still want that $4,000 minimum contract buyout. Guessing all of their players would have renegotiated new contracts this year (I think this was the general rule across most teams due to the orgs getting more flexibility in new contracts)

the players were signed for the season and i hope the org still pays them the agreed amount for cutting them from the roster so late into the offseason. no one buys the "visa issues" as why didn't philly have the same issue also having a diverse roster.
That org is legit trash, they should never be supported again... Really really overthink your support
....there weren't visa issues the IGC as a whole is a bleeding animal waiting to die....theyre not doing well in any esport at all and haven't in a long long time this is nothing more than an abuse of the emergency rules to avoid financial obligations
