Catching up on VODs from the Vitality EU Open, and it's so beautiful watching G2. Only getting through their group matches so far and they have wonderful gamesense and deep plays to take map control. Not to mention outrageous fragging. This team SLAPS.

Having watched more of their playoff games and rewatched them all from mixwell/davidp's stream pov, they don't actually have a deep playbook so much as micro-synergies between them. It makes them look fabulously deep when they're all on the same page and then sometimes they feed.

Davidp talked about it himself how the majority of teams really don’t have much strategic depth currently. Valorant teams are still learning how to walk before they run.

I think NA has some strategic depth especially since they have more Tier 1 teams with coaches. This is a good 2 min vid about Sentinels strats that shazam reacted to on stream and he said that many of them were common in scrims https://www.youtube.com/165ce214-8ca2-4f97-9704-5adce65f02a7 …

I haven't seen that much strategic depth from NA teams at all, probably less than EU despite the coaching, but I would be interested in the video. I think you linked the wrong URL.

Yeah almost all top teams have variations of these defaults. If you like aggressive Haven defences then SFCS and G2 have some great ones too, and G2's attacking default relies on davidp's slows to ruin a lot of these ideas from the defenders.
