So, I wrote a thing about sexual violence and gaming. I don't know what to say about it, other than that it was hard to write and even harder to edit, and a piece like this will never feel complete to me. I hope it's thought-provoking & empathy-inducing.https://www.invenglobal.com/articles/11595/opinion-the-gaming-community-still-doesnt-get-sexual-violence …

I think you’ve made a really good point that men tend to disbelieve sexual assault because of their misunderstanding on the issue, affected by media. However, understanding and supporting victims and preventing “cancel” out of false accusations are equally important.

Not equally important at all. Only 2-10% of accusations are false & even a public reaction in that proportion would only be valid if the impact was equivalent. Rare false accusations do not ruin lives on the same level that sexual assault does. Equating the two is monstrous.

I'm curious, what makes you think you know how many accusations are false

The figures I quoted are the results of studies on the subject from bodies around the world. The exact number is very difficult to ascertain for obvious reasons but that's the ballpark. 10% is extremely generous.
