A lot of people seem to forget that despite moth meta being such a dreadful experience when rezzes were happening left right and center, the actual meta composition at the time was heavily dive-based and was one of the more fun metas to watch.

Not only were the comps entertaining, there was actually a fair amount of comp diversity (besides Mercy herself being must pick). Rez meant teams could afford to take more risks, and that's partially why we got to see more than just straight dive.

I remember moth meta dive being around for an entire year not just stage one...

Yeah moth meta was pretty much the entire year. It changed right as the playoffs began which is the only reason NYXL lost & didn’t make grand finals. The meta stayed the same all year NYXL mastered it. People seem to forget how long it lasted because Widow/Tracer were must picks.

I have to disagree when you say it's much better than what we have now. Like, from a viewer experience, and i'm really interested in the competitive integrity (because that's what make the competition entertaining)the year hasn't been fine to watch, it has been a blast.

First of all, saying it's better from a viewer's perspective is completely subjective. What's not subjective is that hero pools has made it so much harder for coaches and players, causing more retirements and unnecessary stress, not to mention that this isn't even with travel...
